Jacob's First Major Boo Boo

Jacob had his first major boo boo today at swim lessons. About mid-way through his lessons he had his toes over the edge ready to jump in and swim to Anne. Second guessing his jump, he turned mid-air and tried to go back to the side but smacked his chin on the edge and skinned his chest before going under. My heart dropped as you could see him scrambling to find the side. Anne was right there to help him. He hardly even cried until we decided he probably needed stitches and that he had to end his lesson early. Sure enough I took him in and they stitched his chin. He was such a brave boy. Now he gets to sport blue whiskers for 2 weeks and can't get it wet so swim lessons are on hold. Luckily Anne has another slot available in 2 weeks.

Hallie's Nursery

Here are a few photos of Hallie's nursery so far. I still need to hang all the wall hangings and the curtains :) It feels so real now that we have her nursery set up. I am 27 weeks and at the start of the 3rd trimester now.

Play Date With the Cousins

Today we took Jacob and Kaylei to the movies to see Ice Age 3. Afterward, we went back to our house for lunch and a play date in the backyard. Cousin Asher joined in on the water fun! The cousins had a great day playing together.

Swim Lessons 2009

Jacob started swim lessons again this year and is doing great! He loves to "Monkey Crawl" around the edge of the pool and kick board. He also enjoys jumping to his swim coach Anne. At the beginning of every lesson Anne tells Jacob he has to get his hair wet first thing. Being the little cutie that he is he splashes water on his head thinking that will get him out of having to go all the way under. His instructor and I get a big kick out of the things he says.He gets a little scared of going underwater when Anne gives him a little push and he has to paddle to the side of the pool by himself. He always tells his coach don't let me sink down there pointing to the bottom. We only had one rough lesson so far. I am so proud of Jacob!
